The Brazilian who has been linked to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United looks set to leave Highbury after turning down the offer of a new deal.
Even though Arsenal would prefer to sell now rather than lose the player for free in the summer former Chelsea boss Ranieri said: “I would like to take Edu at the end of the season on a free transfer. He is a good player — a champion.”
