Blues star ready for battleEngland star Joe Cole is looking forward to the battle to land a starting spot in the star studded Chelsea side.
Cole said: "It is a different sort of way we are going at it this year,"
"I am happy and ready to compete for my place again, like I have done for the last two years, and I am looking forward to it."
Welcoming the arrival of Ballack and Shevchenko, Cole added: "It is exciting. They are a bit older than me and I have watched them play and they are great players and I am looking forward to playing with them.
"We are ready and fresh and can't wait for the start of the season."
