West Ham star happy to be backHammers keeper Robert Green is thrilled to be back on the pitch following his latest injury set-back.
He said: "Personally, it's just been great to play again after six months on the sidelines,"
"Coming to West Ham (From Norwich) was a great move and to play the last couple of games was brilliant. The result on Sunday was excellent.
"I had a great 10 years at Norwich but the end of last season wasn't too pretty.
"It's not too clever when you are playing in games and your own fans are cheering when the opposition scores. That's what was happening at Carrow Road.
"But at least I had the motivation of going to the World Cup. Then I got injured in the B international.
"It was the most pain I had ever been in. The main muscles in my groin ended up halfway down my leg. I had six anchors in my hip to get the muscle back there.
"I had missed out on the World Cup and of course I was devastated.
"It was a freak accident. There had only been four reported cases of it ever happening.
"When I watched the first England game against Paraguay on the TV, I remember the national anthems being played and that really hurt.
"After that, I went on holiday and went to see my sister in Australia and my other sister in New Zealand. It was a good opportunity to get out and see them. I arrived in Oz just as Australia got knocked out which was quite funny."
