West Ham in for two top keepersWest Ham United are thought to have expressed interest in signing released Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll and have also put the feelers out about World Cup-winning goalkeeper Fabien Barthez.
The Hammers, who battled to victory in the Championship playoffs to land a place in the Premiership, England’s top flight, have stated that they intend to build on their team to become Premiership regulars and avoid the traditional practices of the clubs being promoted getting relegated almost immediately in their first or second seasons.
Barthez, also formerly of Manchester United, could be staring at a return to the Premiership had it not also been believed that other clubs have been alerted by the situation over in Marseille and West Ham may be battling to sign the French 33-year-old who is still considered to be one of the best in the world.
