Wenger: No big name signingsArsene Wenger has announced that he is unlikely to sign any big name players this summer.
Wenger said: "It has been years since I signed a big name and it can be one more year.
"What can they add to the people we already have?
"Thierry has clarified that he will be here next season.
"He feels there is a lot of strength within this squad and this team can compete at the top level.
"Right now in the middle of the park we have Aleksandr Hleb, Tomas Rosicky, Alexandre Song, Cesc Fabregas, Denilson and Gilberto — what can you add?
"In front we have Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner, who is coming back from Birmingham, Henry, Emmanuel Adebayor, Jeremie Aliadiere.
"What are you going to do with those?"
He added: "I am worried if I pay millions for a player I may end up losing him for nothing."
