Wanchope faces actionFollowing his scuffle with the fans at Saturday’s La Liga match against Real Betis, Paulo Wanchope will face a rap from Malaga.
The former Manchester City, West Ham and Derby striker, 28, said he was attacked when he went to confront fans who had used a megaphone to shout racial abuse at him during the 2-1 defeat.
But a Malaga spokesman said: “We have to censure Wanchope’s actions because they don’t fit with what the club expecs of a man in his position. It was an error.
“But Malaga want to make it absolutely clear they will do everything possible to stop fans from insulting a player like this.”
