Villa to snap up Everton reject

After being priced out of the market for Manchester City defender Sylvain Distin, Villa boss David O’Leary is closing in on a deal for Everton reject Alan Stubbs.

The Aston Villa boss is poised to snap up defender Stubbs on a free transfer from Everton and offer him a two-year deal.
