Vassell tipped for England recallAston Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel reckons strike partner Darius Vassell can regain his England place after an injury-plagued 2004-05 campaign.
Vassell's last taste of international football was the Euro 2004 quarter-final, where he missed the decisive penalty against hosts Portugal but Angel said: "Darius was injured for a long time last season and I don't think he was at his best so that's probably why he was left out of the trip to the United States.
"But I'm sure that when he starts to get back fully fit, and scoring goals like he can do, then he will win his place back again with England.
"He has done well for England in the past and I know what he is capable of from playing alongside him a lot in the last three or four years."
