Tottenham star considers his future

If he cannot break into the first team soon, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sean Davis has revealed that he will consider his future at White Hart Lane.

Davis told Clubcall: "I want to try and play for Tottenham's first team but if that's not the case then I'm going to have to consider going on loan or a permanent move to another side.

"There is an embarrassment of quality players in the reserve team. The likes of myself, Pedro Mendes and Anthony Gardner are not getting a game and I don't know how much longer you can wait for your chance.

"Most of us are used to playing week in, week out. When you're not it's hard to take.

"When you're not making an 18 or 20-man squad it can be a bit depressing - but you can't sulk. You have to keep working hard and be professional.

"I did have the chance to go to a few teams at the beginning of the season but felt I wanted to prove myself at Tottenham.

"But I haven't been given a chance to prove myself and I am definitely looking to go out on loan or a permanent move.

"I'm not one of those players who can just sit on the bench and get 10 minutes here or there. I want to play week in, week out - that's what I'm used to.

"I've no regrets about leaving Fulham. It was because I felt I was getting a bit stale and had been there 10 years but sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

"There's a lot of quality players in the Spurs squad who might not be part of the manager's future plans. If it's not going to work out at Tottenham I would like to play first-team football somewhere else in the Premiership.

"The team are doing so well it's not like I can go the manager and say 'Why aren't I playing?'"
