Tottenham defender out for season

Spurs wingback Benoit Assou-Ekotto could be out of action for the rest of the season after having surgery on his injured knee.

The French defender, who moved to Tottenham from Ligue 1 side Lens at the start of the season is expected to be out for up to eight weeks.
