Toon star wants permanent moveFormer England midfielder Nicky Butt wants to turn his loan spell at Birmingham City into a permanent move.
The Newcastle owned star said: "I would definitely like to stop here. I have enjoyed myself and there are a great bunch of lads at the club who work hard.
"The coaches and management are good and I am happy. If we can kick on, get up the table and the manager decides to keep me at the end of the season, then all well and good.
"I was happy to come to Birmingham and it still feels like the right move."
He added: "I think the belief (to avoid relegation) is still there. It has to be if we are going to get out of this situation.
"We have got players who are more than capable of ensuring that we stay in the Premiership. But we have got to show it out on the field."
