Toon favourite admits frustrationNewcastle United defender Stephen Carr has admitted his frustration at missing 12 matches after a hernia operation.
Carr admitted: “The injury has been a nightmare. I felt good after my op, but then I tore a muscle on my right side. It was a killer for me.
“That was harder to heal than the hernia and it was frustrating to miss so many matches.
“The fans were probably thinking: ‘It’s only a hernia, why’s he still out?’
“But it was the problem on top of that which set me back — I just hope it’s all behind me now.”
