Toffees star could leaveWelsh flanker Simon Davies has admitted that he might have consider his options if he is not given more first team action at Everton.
Davies, 26, said: "If the situation hasn't changed by January I may have to consider my position."
"I had a really good pre-season and feel I'm probably playing better then I was last season, so I came back feeling positive."
He added: "Everton are using two or three holding players in midfield, but I'm not going to question the manager. It's been successful so far but we haven't got a big squad and injuries and suspensions are going to kick in at some stage.
"When my chance comes I have got to be ready to take it. We don't have a big squad, but they are all quality players, and that just makes me more determined to get back in the team.
"I'm working hard every day in training and I'm confident I will get back in the side."
On his performance for Wales against Slovakia on the weekend he said: "It's true I'm not getting much practice as I would like, but anyone playing for their country goes out and does their best and personally I felt I did okay on Saturday.
"It's been frustrating at Everton so far this season, but that's football and you have got to overcome that. Even so, it's been good to get away this week and being involved with the lads here."
