Toffees lose star defender

Everton defender Alessandro Pistone is out of Wednesday's Champions League qualifier against Villarreal after picking up an injury during the 1-0 win at Bolton.

Pistone damaged knee ligaments at The Reebok Stadium after a challenge on Henrik Pedersen in the first half.

Toffees boss David Moyes said: "He could be out for a couple of weeks."
