Toffees blow confirmedEverton manager David Moyes has confirmed that star striker Andy Johnson will require surgery on his injured ankle at the end of the season.
Moyes told the official Everton site: "He's having surgery at the end of the season but it's not on the ankle that he has got the injury with just now,"
"It will be on his other ankle where he has got a little bit of bone growth.
"It will rule him out (for England).
"But it is really important that Everton do have people in the England squad and it's great that Andy and Phil (Neville) have been around that this season.
"But I have also got to think about Everton and Andy does need an operation, there's no other way about it.
"We are pleased that Andy plays for England but on this occasion there's no way round it."
