Thatcher ready for Liverpool

Manchester City defender Ben Thatcher could end his two-month injury lay-off against Liverpool on Saturday.

The 29-year-old has been sidelined since pulling a hamstring during the derby defeat against Manchester United in February.

City boss Stuart Pearce said: “Ben has returned to full squad training. We are hoping he will come through the full week with us and then we’ll see what happens.”
