Striker work permit rejected22-year-old Middlesbrough striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu has failed in his initial attempt to get a work permit.
The Nigerian international has not played the required 75% of international games in the last two years.
Boro however, have been preparing all along for an appeal against that automatic decision, and that will be heard on Monday.
