Spurs to talk with United?Reports are today suggesting that Manchester United hit-man Alan Smith could be a Tottenham Hotspur target this summer.
Smith has successfully returned from injury this season, and his impressive form towards the end of the campaign was rewarded when he got a call up to the England squad that will face Brazil and Estonia over the next week.
Spurs currently have Jermain Defoe, Mido, Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane as options up front. Keane and Berbatov are the starting pair and the club are not willing to negotiate on either, but may be willing to bring Smith in to create extra competition with Mido likely to exit White hart Lane over the coming weeks.
