Spurs source confirms striker talks

Tottenham Hotspur are set to renew the contract of striker Jermaine Defoe according the reports.

close to agreeing at Tottenham that will double his current wages.

UK paper The News of the World reported that the striker is set to sign a new five-year deal for approx £40,000 a week.

A Tottenham insider confirmed: "We hope to have some good news to announce about Jermain Defoe very soon."
