Spurs close on £1million bargain

Tottenham boss Martin Jol will bolster his Champions League challenge this week with the signing of Ajax midfielder Nigel De Jong.

The Dutchman has lined up a £1million bargain deal for the Dutch international, who rejected a move to Manchester United two years ago.

The 21-year-old has been in London this week to negotiate personal terms and is keen to join the Spurs revolution.
