Southgate wants Woodgate restMiddlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate says defender Jonathan Woodgate is still not up to playing for England.
When asked if he thought we should play in the friendly against Holland next month Southgate said: “He’ll only have had two more games by then. I would have said after Christmas is better for him and I think he is of that opinion as well.
“It’s up to Steve McClaren but there’s been no word yet.”
