Smicer future uncertainA return to former club Lens looks unlikely for Liverpool star Vladimir Smicer when his contract runs out in the summer, but the Czech striker concedes he could stay in The Premiership.
Smicer is primed to leave Anfield at the end of the season and Lens are among a number of clubs chasing his signature, but Smicer told Lidove Noviny: "I have never said that I will rejoin Lens,
"It's a truth I will probably leave The Reds but it's still open to where I will go.
"I don't have exact offers. Two or three offers are from England and the same number from France.
"I haven't talked about the names and I don't want to.
"Yes they (Lens) asked me, I talked with them, that's a truth, but a deal? It's a long shot.
"I don't think it would be the best choice to return to Lens. We won the French league, the French Cup.
"And people there would expect more from me than I would have been able to fulfil. Perhaps it would be better to start somewhere from scratch."
