Sibierski happy to signNewcastle United playmaker Antoine Sibierski has expressed his happiness with life at the club and talked about his willingness to extend his stay on Tyneside.
"We are very happy here. I know how the fans felt about me but I didn't expect to feel as good as I do now about playing here," said Sibierski.
"Many people told me bad things about Newcastle - bad weather, bad people - but the people are friendlier than they are in London or Manchester and the weather is nice and similar to Lille.
"It's nice to know the manager wants to keep me. It's a sign that I'm doing well. I always knew I had the quality to play for this club and it's good to know that Newcastle want to keep me."
Geordie manager Glenn Roeder added: "He and Sol Campbell have proved to be the best out of contract signings of the season,"
"I had a chance to sign him from Lens when I was at West Ham and I should have taken him.
"I have enjoyed working with him, he has fallen in love with Newcastle and I am pleased he will be around next year."
