Shearer back trainingJust one day after undergoing hernia surgery in Germany, Newcastle captain Alan Shearer has returned to training.
The 35-year-old will start light training and is expected to resume running again later this week as he attempts to make a swift return to action.
Full-back Stephen Carr, who had a similar operation last Thursday, was running within 48 hours and will return to full training on Friday.
