Rooney: One of the hardest gamesManchester United striker Wayne Rooney thinks the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Roma was one of the hardest matches he has ever played experienced.
Rooney, who netted United’s only goal in the 2-1 loss, said: "It was a good goal for us,"
"Going down to ten-men in the first-half made it a difficult game. They passed the ball really well.
"We knew once we got the goal it was going to be a difficult game for them coming to Old Trafford.
"It's as good as a 0-0 so it's not a bad position to be in.
"It was one of the hardest games I've played in. It was a tough job but we're happy with the result in the end."
