Robert claims all set piecesNew Portsmouth signing Lauren Robert has told his new team-mates: I'll be taking all free-kicks.
The French winger spends 40 minutes a day practising set-pieces and is ready to unleash one against Tottenham at Fratton Park on Saturday.
He said: "I think every free-kick is for me and maybe the penalties.
"In the previous four years at Newcastle, pre-season training was easy.
"But Alain Perrin is typical of French managers in that he has you working hard. But everyone's happy with that."
He added: "It will be a difficult game against Spurs but we're ready to start the season.
"In pre-season sometimes the gaffer needs to change players around so I've played for only 60 or 70 minutes.
"But on Saturday, I'm ready to play 90 minutes.
"We've worked hard for a month but the emphasis in training this week has been more tactical.
"We've also been concentrating on finishing, crossing and free-kicks."
