Richards hangs up bootsTottenham defender Dean Richards has announced his decision to retire following advice from doctors that he would suffer serious health problems should he continue playing after experiencing ongoing dizzy spells and headaches.
"I am obviously deeply disappointed to be giving up the sport I love, but it's the only choice,” Richards said.
"I'd like to thank the club, the medical team and my team-mates for all the support they have given me."
