Reds target ready for exitLiverpool and Valencia target Simao Sabrosa is set to leave Benfica in the next couple of days after the club decided to leave him out of their recent pre-season friendly against Bordeaux.
The Super Eagles President Luis Felipe Vieira said: "The absence of Simao from the pitch is justified,"
"In a few days the cause will be known."
Coach Fernando Santos added: "Simao has not played by order of the club," confirmed the manager.
Valencia are now favourites for Simao’s signature but could be joined by Liverpool and also Chelsea who require another flanker after they sold Damien Duff to Newcastle last week.
