Redknapp wants Kanu stayPortsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is confident the club will keep hold of in-form striker Nwankwo Kanu.
"I took him a week before the season started and I was the only one who took a gamble,” said Redknapp.
"He came here and he's been absolutely brilliant for us. He has scored 10 goals. We love him here and we are looking to keep him here next season.
"We are trying to do a deal to secure him this year and I think we have an option for next year if he plays 20 games - he's probably played that as he's been involved in almost every game this year.
"So I think the second year would click in anyway."
