Redknapp lands City star

Reports are suggesting that Portsmouth Football club have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City defender Sylvain Distin for £4million.

The 28-year-old has apparently penned a deal worth £40,000 a week and should be one of many new faces to arrive at Fratton Park this summer.

Manager Harry Redknapp will be relieved to have finally landed an established central defender with Premiership experience following his summer long search.
