Real make last ditch Beckham offerSpanish giants Real Madrid are hoping to persuade flanker David Beckham to scrap his contract with the LA Galaxy and stay on at the club next season.
Real supremo Ramon Calderon has talked of the possibility of activating a clause in his deal with LA to keep him at the Bernabeu.
Speaking to Marca Calderon said: "We need to sit down with Beckham, his representatives and with (director Predrag) Mijatovic, look at this clause, and decide between us.
"But for me I would be delighted if he remained at the club."
He added: "There was a bit of anger by the premature announcement of his exit, but we are now going to make an effort for him to stay.
"I would be delighted if he remained at the club."
