Portsmouth sign Portuguese starPortsmouth have re-signed midfielder Pedro Mendes to a new four-year contract.
Mendes has impressed manager Harry Redknapp since his move from former Tottenham last season and is thoroughly enjoying his time at the club.
He said: "It is exciting for me to cement my future here at Portsmouth,"
"Last year was a special season for me and I am glad that, as a newcomer to Pompey, I managed to hit the ground running.
"However, this is only the beginning. Anyone who is at Pompey these days knows that great things are happening and that this is the place to be.
"It is a delight, a challenge and a responsibility to be part of the building block of this new era at the club and I am looking forward to the new season."
