Pompey in £2million swoop

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is ready to make a £2million swoop for Birmingham striker Emile Heskey.

Former England striker Heskey, 28, has scored five goals all season with just one in his last 25 games.

Co-owner David Sullivan insists City have no need to sell but Redknapp is desperate to boost his strike force and is likely to tempt them with a bid for Heskey.
