O'Leary talks with Djemba-DjembaNewspaper claims stating that Aston Villa midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba blamed manager David O'Leary for the club's current lowly Premiership placing have been rubbished by the Cameroon star.
The former Manchester United player held talks with O'Leary this morning following remarks attributed to him during the past few days.
He said: "I did not say the manager needed to change anything. I would not say that sort of thing. I wouldn't question his tactics.
"The manager was surprised because if he knows I have anything to say, I go straight to him and say it.
"The manager called me in on Thursday morning and when he showed me the papers and articles I was shocked."
Djemba-Djemba insisted: "This makes me look like a trouble maker and I don't want that reputation.
"I want to do my talking on the pitch. I have a four-year contract. I will bide my time and try to get into the team.
"I am definitely enjoying my time at Villa. Everyone is happy with me and I feel the same about them.
"Of course, I want to play more games but every player in the world who is not in the side will say that.
"I haven't apologised to the manager because there is nothing to apologise for and he accepts that.
"As for this season it is nowhere near finished. Who knows what is going to happen over the next few months?"
O'Leary added: "I was surprised with Eric because what I saw him being quoted about was totally out of character.
"He likes the club, the fans and myself so he wouldn't come out with those remarks. I had to speak to him about it but he's not the sort of lad to come out with that rubbish."
