He told MUTV: "It is a great challenge - a greater challenge more than ever this season to repeat last season's success and more of a challenge for me personally to break back into a team that has won the double,"
"I have a number of challenges and the ultimate one is to get back in the team in front of Wes, which is going to be hard because of the way he played last season.
"Pre-season is hugely important for every player but for me it's massive.
"I genuinely believe in my heart of hearts I will come back and be fine but until you have gone out there and done it, it means nothing."
