Mutu appears at hearingAdrian Mutu has appeared before a Premier League hearing as part of Chelsea's attempts to gain £8m in compensation from him.
The Romanian striker was sacked by Chelsea last August after testing positive for cocaine and the club are attempting to recover some of the £16m they paid Parma for the player.
A statement from his solicitor John Herison read: "Until a decision is given, no further comment will be made,
"Adrian would just like to say the last six months out of football have been difficult for him.
"He's been training very hard and he is now looking forward to playing first-team football again."
