Makaay hit an incredible nine goals in the final four games of the season and in signalling his intent for the new campaign he said at Bayern's training camp on Lake Tegernsee: "We can just keep going where we left off last season,
"It's certainly not going to get any easier for our opponents. The squad is almost the same, which is an advantage for us."
