Moyes: Time to step-upEverton manager David Moyes thinks certain players in his squad need to step up now that Tim Cahill is out injured and is hoping James McFadden will be one of them.
He said: "Faddy has got to come back and prove he has learned from his mistake, (of being sent off in the FA Cup)"
"It was a costly one for us, but we were able to play him last night in the reserves and it was pleasing that he scored twice.
"It was important for him to get a game as his season has been very stop-start. It has never really got up and running.
"He missed quite a bit of time with injury and just when he looked as if it was behind him, he got suspended.
"He needs to knuckle down now.
"He is a player that I am looking to rise to the challenge and raise the bar in the coming weeks with Tim Cahill being injured.
"We will need a few players to stand up and be counted and I hope James McFadden is one of them."
