Montella commits to RomaVincenzo Montella has committed his long-term future to Roma.
Serie A's leading scorer had one year remaining on his existing deal, but the club were keen to lock down their trio of strikers.
Montella, who is nicknamed ‘The Little Airplane' is the first of Antonio Cassano and Francesco Totti to pen a new deal with the Giallorossi.
One of the reasons the former Sampdoria, Genoa and Empoli ace signed is that he believes the Stadio Olimpico side can again become a force in Serie A.
Montella explained: "I'm proud to have been part of Roma for all these years,
"I've signed because I have a big faith in this club.
"I'm sure from next season Roma will return to being one of the best Italian teams."
