Materazzi backs InterWorld Cup winner Marco Materazzi has backed his Inter team to run away with this seasons Serie A title.
He said: “I’m happy to be here and am ready to start training again,”
“Once you start winning, you develop a liking for it, so I hope I will repeat this past year’s success,” continued Matrix in an interview with Inter Channel.
“After all that has happened, Inter are now expected to win the 2006-07 Scudetto on the pitch.
“Inter are always competitive for the top positions, but this year it is even more true, because all teams will start from the same position and this is very positive.”
When asked about the rumours surrounding Azzuri team-mate Luca Toni he said: “We spoke about it during World Cup, he would like to come here, but in this delicate phase I think we should all wait and see what will happen,”
“I can only add that Toni is a great player.”
