Liverpool need HamannRafa Benitez has confirmed he wants keep veteran midfielder Didi Hamann at Liverpool.
The German midfielder penned a new deal at Anfield during the summer but the subsequent arrival of Momo Sissoko raised doubts his future at the club.
Benitez, however, has no intention of letting a player of Hamann's talent leave and believes the 32-year old still has a vital role to play.
He said: "Didi is a player with experience and you need that in a squad."
