Liverpool midfielder fails test

Senegal midfielder Salif Diao will return to Liverpool after failing his medical at Charlton.
 
Diao, 29, was desperate to move in order to get some match time with a Premiership club this season as he will almost certainly be a bit-part player if he is to remain at Anfield.
