Lampard: I've got no problemMidfielder Frank Lampard says he will not be affected by any ‘boos’ directed at him by England supporters.
Lampard said: "Having the boos aimed at you is part of playing for England, I suppose. A year ago I had just won the fans' Player Of The Year award for the second time on the spin, but that's how English football is.
"I've got no problem with it. I remember when people wanted David Beckham out of the England team and he got a hero's welcome against Brazil because he is a great pro and he keeps working hard.
"This happens in football. It is not helpful to the team and not helpful to the players - but I am certainly big enough to take that on the chin.
"I know in the World Cup last summer people were expecting me to score a few goals and it just didn't happen, but rest assured I'm fighting to get that knack back and to knock the goals in again."
He added: "Do we have to win fans back after the Andorra game? Possibly. Against Andorra in Barcelona, the fans showed their frustration and you would be a fool not to recognise that.
"For us, it is a case of playing as we know we can. We have trained very hard and in training have played some fantastic football. It has to translate onto the pitch and, when we do that, the fans will be pleased.
"It wasn't a vintage performance against Brazil but the determination and desire to win the game was there. That's what the fans want."
He continued: "The expectation will be there on Wednesday to be 2-0 up after 15 minutes. It shouldn't be like that. Estonia are a better side than Andorra, make no mistake.
"You can't go out there with the attitude of 'if we are not winning after 15 minutes, then it's no good'. It is going to be a tough game.
"The only thing that matters at the end of the day is winning the game. We want to do well and go 1-0 up after 10 minutes but it might not be like that.
"If we show the passion and desire we showed against Brazil, we can win the game.
"There is always pressure with England and we put pressure on ourselves. We know we are a good bunch of players, that we've got a great squad and we want to start winning games."
Lampard added: "Brazil was a great game for us to show that against the best teams we can play them, we can match them and we can beat them. Unfortunately we didn't quite beat them but we showed in the performance what we can do.
"Estonia will be different. We have to completely re-apply ourselves. It will be a different game in a different atmosphere. It is always difficult to travel in Europe and we have to prepare ourselves for a different game.
"But the best thing we can take there is pure confidence from playing against some of the best players in the world, a great team, and matching them. If we play like that against Estonia, we will win the game.
"Do we have to win in Estonia? I don't know if it is as cut and dried as that, but we will go there with the intention to win. We are very determined to do that.
"We will go there feeling we have to win. We have had some disappointing results so far and at some stage we are going to have to get a run of winning games to make sure we qualify - and there is no better time than to start now."
