Joe vows to do the jobAs Middlesbrough prepare to travel to Lisbon to take on Sporting in the Uefa Cup tonight Joseph-Desire Job has pledged to make the most of his opportunity to shine.
Job gets his chance in attack with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink joining Steve McClaren's growing injury list.
He told Sky Sports News: "I've been waiting, yes, that's true,
"But every time he plays me, I have to do my best anyway.
"As a player, you can't be happy sitting on the bench all the time. The fact is I've got an opportunity on Thursday, I will go for it and try to do my best.
"If I can score the goal that sends us through it will be good.
"The ambition of the club was to get a top six finish. We are seventh, still in the race, and the second ambition was the Uefa Cup also, we wanted to go as far as possible and will do everything to keep that dream going."
