Jenas urges team-mates to liftEngland international Jermaine Jenas has urged his Tottenham team-mates to step up their performances against Sevilla tomorrow.
He said: “We’ve scored a lot of goals in the last couple of months. Whoever we’d have played in the last eight weeks or so, we’d have scored against them.
“But you have to approach these European games slightly differently.
“It was devastating for us to lose to Chelsea in the FA Cup last eight.
“Luckily enough, we picked ourselves up fairly quickly and got back to business in the league.
“We put in two good performances against Chelsea and there are a lot of lessons to be learned from losing to them and Arsenal in the Carling Cup.
“If you look at the teams we have lost to, they have been Arsenal and Chelsea — two of the top sides in England.
“It’s up to us now to make that step so we are able to beat those sides and break through into the final of competitions.”
