Izzet targets nine pointsBirmingham City midfielder Muzzy Izzet reckons the Blues need 9 points from the next three home matches if they are to escape from Premiership relegation trouble.
After meeting with Sam Allardyce's Bolton tonight, Birmingham have a trip to fellow strugglers Sunderland before a home clash with West Ham on 5 December and Fulham five days later.
Midfielder Izzet believes City should take heart from their performance at Newcastle a fortnight ago when only a blunder by keeper Maik Taylor denied them a share of the spoils as they look to climb out of the bottom three.
Izzet said: "We have got to look at winning all of the next three home games as nine points would lift us out of trouble.
"Our home form hasn't been the best against teams we felt we should have done better against - but all these games coming up are winnable.
"If we can pick up a result at Sunderland as well, then it will give us a massive boost as we need to start taking maximum points. We played well at Newcastle and we need to be on form for every game from now on."
