Hasselbaink in Chelsea revelationAfter ex-Chelsea striker Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink claimed in his new book that Blues players received £100,000 for reaching the Champions League last four in 2003/04 rather than the £50,000 written into their deals, the West London club has denied breaking the Premier League rules.
The rules state bonuses cannot be changed during a season.
A Chelsea statement said: "No payments have been made to any Chelsea player in breach of the Premier League or Football Association regulations,
The Stamford Bridge club added: "The Premier League contacted Chelsea about this at the time and were made fully aware of the situation. There is nothing to investigate."
Chelsea beat Arsenal over two legs to reach the semi-final stage where they were beaten by Monaco.
Hasselbaink, now at Middlesbrough, said in his book: "At the beginning of the season he Abramovich had promised us £50,000 per player if we reached the semi-finals of the competition.
"At the end of the month instead of the promised £50,000 there was £100,000 in our accounts."
