Geordie star taken to hospital

Newcastle United keeper Shay Given was taken to hospital following a collision with West Ham’s Marlon Harewood during their match at Upton Park.

A Newcastle spokesman confirmed: "He has got abdominal pains and is going to hospital to be checked out."
