Friedel signs new dealBlackburn Rovers veteran keeper Brad Friedel has signed a new deal with the club which will see him stay at the club until 2009.
Friedel told the Daily Mail: "I love this club,"
"My agent is Paul Stretford, but I did the deal myself.
"I had a nice chat over a cup of coffee with the chairman John Williams.
"There was no need to go in and have a big battle."
"Rovers showed great faith in me when I wasn't playing first team football at Liverpool and I remember things like that.
"This has proved a tremendous move for me and I want to repay the club by giving of my services for as long as I can.
"I feel in good shape and I hope that some time in the future I will be sitting down to agree another contract - who knows?"
