Former Chelsea star reveals Jose secretFormer Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has revealed that fear is the driving factor behind the managerial style of former boss Jose Mourinho.
Gudjohnsen said: “Even though the relationship between the players and Mourinho was generally excellent there was no doubt we were all scared of losing because he would be furious if we lost.
“At half-time when we came in losing or occasionally even if we were only drawing, it would mean we would get a verbal doing.
“Sometimes we got a real shouting at.
“But, despite that, one of the great things about Mourinho as a coach and a man is that he tells you everything to your face.
“What makes him different is his skill at getting his ideas across to the group of players and his incredible attention to detail.
“When Mourinho says training will last 1½ hours it will never last a second longer.”
